Despite the tracking devices, Death Eater sightings, and everything else that has happened, things have certainly been dull around here. I don't think I've ever been so bored in my life. Where's the excitement these days?

Since everyone seems overly concerned with Pettigrew's idiocy in showing himself at the castle this weekend, I thought I'd bring to attention the perceived safety of Hogwarts. If one known, supposedly reformed Death Eater can sneak in, especially one as obviously dumb as Pettigrew, without anyone noticing until he's practically gone anyway, what's to say it won't happen again? I would like to know what's being done to ensure that our future is being preserved as securely as possible and that just because the Ministry is getting lax, security as concerns our children is not.

I almost lost this in all my excitement of returning to work. What a tragedy that would have been. Not being able to keep up with everyone's lives.

With all the Howlers my department has gotten over the last few days, they've decided that it would be best for me to work at home until everything subsides. In all honesty, this is absurd. The lot of you sending Howlers are being more destructive to this process than helpful. Yes, I'm a pardoned Death Eater, but I was one of very few who were pardoned at the end of the war. Leave me alone to do my work that is helping most of you.

Going to Hogsmeade this weekend was refreshing. It was odd being back there after such a long time. I must make a habit of going more often.

Work's been murderous lately. Other countries seem to be in an uproar about the pardons being granted. I don't understand what their problem is with it though, it's not like we're pardoning and sending the Death Eaters there. They're just coming back home.

I swear to Salazar the muggles around here are insufferable. Merlin forbid I take a walk outside for a few moments and they stare and whisper as though they've never seen me before.
